Process Engineer – Inside/Outside IR35
Contract Duration: 3 – 12 months

Job Purpose:
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising industrial and manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. You will analyse process performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
As a Process Engineer, your main responsibilities would be to:
- Work on the design and development of major subsystems and enhancements for facilities and future devices, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams, system/component repair, replacement, and upgrades.
- Undertake engineering analysis to inform key design decisions.
- Develop and validate process designs and create associated technical documentation.
- Supervise detailed design, manufacturing, tender preparation, and contract management, applying value‑engineering and design‑for-manufacturing principles.
You’ll have:
- Engineering degree or an equivalent qualification (Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering preferred).
- Chartered status or actively working towards it with a relevant professional institution.
- Proven skills in process engineering analysis, including mass and energy balances, and understanding of engineering materials, vacuum systems, pressure, and high-temperature environments.
- Ability to execute design calculations from first principles.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
