Description & Requirements

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Risk Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract. This is a hybrid working role (four days per week onsite in Corsham)

Job Purpose:

Will be carrying out all the RAIDO work, scheduling updates and keeping the project reporting up to date.


DV Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.


As a Risk Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Conduct risk assessments across projects, programmes, and business operations.
  • Identify strategic, operational, financial, commercial, security, and safety risks.
  • Capture emerging risks and opportunities that may affect delivery objectives.
  • Ensure risks are accurately recorded, reviewed, and updated.
  • Monitor risk trends and risk exposure across portfolios and programmes.


Essential Skills


  • Managing the RAIDO logs across the overall team and business
  • Stakeholder management at all levels
  • Managing RISKS, dependencies, assumptions, project reporting, scheduling and updated as part of the process
  • Managing strategies and plans as part of a busy role
  • MSP Planning experience and skillset
  • Strong self starter with a proactive approach across the business


Desirable Skills


  • MOD experience will be highly beneficial
