AMS PSR

On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Project Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract which is a hybrid role so does require up to 3 days a week in the Square One Manchester office, please note over time the role may require less office attendance

In this role, you'll be right at the heart of project delivery, supporting the project management team in managing a varied portfolio of structures examinations. You'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with Network Rail standards, while maintaining full compliance with health and safety legislation.

You'll be a key team player, helping to track progress, manage change, and support the delivery of projects to time, cost, and quality expectations. As a Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Support delivery of projects to time, cost and quality standards
• Monitor programme progress and produce performance reports
• Assist with change control and project support systems
• Track team KPIs and contribute to performance insights
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment
• Support production of risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Ensure HSQE compliance across project activities
• Adhere to corporate governance and industry standards

Essential Skills

• Experience as a project manager in fast paced working environments
• Ability to manage a workbank or works, individual jobs as part of an overall portfolio
• Stakeholder engagement at all levels across the business
• Experience of managing direct reports
• Strong IT skills which Included excel
• Strong self starter with a proactive approach to all duties

Desirable Skills

• Experience within the rail sector would be highly beneficial
