On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Data Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based REMOTELY with occasional travel to Swindon.

Role Purpose

The Data Delivery Manager will provide end‑to‑end delivery coordination across UKRI data initiatives. The role is required to plan, co‑ordinate and assure delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring dependencies are actively managed, delivery risks are controlled, and outcomes are delivered predictably and ready for transition into business‑as‑usual. This role complements existing Project Managers and Product Owners by focusing on delivery orchestration, sequencing, and cross‑project alignment.

As Data Delivery Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Own and maintain the integrated delivery roadmap across both projects.
• Actively manage delivery dependencies with related programmes
• Work with Project Managers, Product Owners and Technical Leads to:
• Support Agile delivery planning and prioritisation
• Remove blockers and delivery impediments
• Maintain pace and focus on outcomes.
• Support delivery through established UKRI governance and assurance forums, including Steering Committees, Portfolio Boards and Project Spend Assurance Group.
• Ensure delivery risks and issues are identified early, mitigated, and escalated appropriately.
• Support transition of delivered capabilities into Business‑as‑Usual, including service readiness and operational handover.

Essential:

• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager on complex digital, data or transformation initiatives.
• Strong track record of managing multiple workstreams and cross‑project dependencies.
• Practical experience of Agile and iterative delivery in regulated or public sector environments.
• Experience working within formal governance, assurance and reporting frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, business and senior leadership groups.

Desirable:

• Experience delivering data platforms, analytics or AI/automation initiatives.
• Experience within UK central government or arm’s‑length bodies.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, or ethical AI delivery concepts
