On behalf of ONS we are looking for a Senior Digital Product Manager (INSIDE IR35) for a 6 month initial contract. Hybrid working with travel to Newport and Titchfield as and when required.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the UK’s largest producer of official statistics, covering a range of key economic, social and demographic topics. These include measuring changes in the value of the UK economy, estimating the size, geographic distribution and characteristics of the population, and providing indicators of price inflation, employment, earnings, crime and migration.
As a Senior Digital Product Manager you will be expected to use your knowledge of user needs and business goals to frame problems and set priorities for the delivery teams. You will manage multiple products or a single product that is especially complex, high-risk or sensitive. At this level will have expert product management skills and may be involved in elements of programme management activity.
Essential:
- Proven experience in Product Management, with a strong track record of delivering successful outcomes.
- Experience working within Government or Public Sector environments.
- Solid understanding of the GDS Service Standard and its practical application.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Confident and articulate communicator, capable of constructively challenging ideas and existing ways of working.
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments.
