On behalf of DWP, we are looking for an Asset Analyst - Inside IR35 for a 9 month contract working on a Hybrid basis (Remote with occasional travel to Leeds for key meetings)

Position Summary

Following the mobilisation of a new Facilities Management contract, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking an Asset Analyst to join the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Data team.


As part of the Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract, the supplier is delivering a comprehensive Asset and Data Validation programme. This initiative will enhance the quality and reliability of data within the Asset Register and PPM schedule.


The Asset Analyst will play a key role in supporting PPM change control processes, data governance, audit activity, and ongoing data validation to ensure accuracy and compliance across systems.


The main duties and responsibilities of the Asset Analyst would be to:

  • Support the LeadAsset Analyst in reviewing and approving PPM Change Forms, including:
    • Work order cancellations
    • Creation of new PPMs
    • Removal of obsolete PPMs
    • Amendments to PPM data
  • Manage and monitor the team inbox, ensuring timely responses and actions.
  • Maintain and continuously improve data trackers, reporting processes, and data-sharing practices.
  • Audit and analyse PPM data within CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) systems to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Produce reports identifying trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities for improvement within PPM data.
  • Attend and, where necessary, chair meetings to support data accuracy and governance objectives.
  • Monitor updates to SFG20 standards and assess impacts on PPM schedules.
  • Process site survey outputs as part of the data validation programme, ensuring alignment with the Asset Register and PPM schedule.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the Asset Manager (PPM) or Asset Strategy Manager.


Essential:

  • Strong understanding of Asset Management principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret large data sets, identifying trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Visio and Power BI
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with effective prioritisation skills.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities, requirements, and project timelines.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience with CAFM systems (e.g. Concept Evolution) and knowledge of Hard Services Facilities Management.


Desirable:

  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Power Query, VBA).
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outputs and challenging poor data quality.
  • Actively seeks feedback and continuously improves individual and team performance.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for their role and responsibilities.
  • Collaborates effectively across teams to drive improvements in processes, governance, and ways of working.
