On behalf of DCMS, we are looking for a Senior Construction Project Manager (Inside IR35) for a 8 Month (Until end of December 2026) contract based in London (2 days per week on site).


CTC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 


As a Senior Construction Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Lead construction delivery.
  • Hold the contractor to account on scheduling and cost.
  • Risk Management & Mitigation. Identify potential project roadblocks—such as permit delays or budget overruns and implement strategies to keep the project on track.
  • Primary Liaison. Act as the main point of contact between the owner/developer and the design team (Architects/Engineers).
  • Coordination between professional services, contractor, key stakeholders & DCMS.
  • Regular reporting on progress to DCMS senior leaders.


Essential:

  • Proven construction technical and methodology expertise.
  • Proven financial management experience.
  • An understanding of different contract suites e.g. JCT / NEC.
  • Detailed scheduling knowledge e.g. Primavera, MS Project.
  • Expert knowledge of Health and Safety law and regulations in a construction environment.
