On behalf of the CPS, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 4 Month contract based in any CPS Office (2-3 days per week on site).
The CPS prosecutes criminal cases that have been investigated by the police and other investigative organisations in England and Wales. The CPS is independent, and they make their decisions independently of the police and government.
Their duty is to make sure that the right person is prosecuted for the right offence, and to bring offenders to justice wherever possible.

As a Senior Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:
- Make sure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy by contributing to the link between current and future business models and delivering to the business architecture.
- Challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose.
- Facilitate collaboration and lead effective communication to support design, build and delivery to meet the user needs.
- Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Capture user stories and acceptance criteria, ensure business requirements are fully understood by delivery teams, including external suppliers, and enable delivery teams to understand the context behind them.
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
Essential:
- Ability to analyse and optimise business processes, identifying improvements and specifying effective business changes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including engaging senior leaders and resolving issues affecting project delivery.
- Skilled in investigative work, capturing user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensuring clear requirements for delivery teams.
- Able to evaluate delivery methods, support prioritisation, and guide teams toward MVP and aligned business outcomes.
- Proven collaboration across technical, architecture and project teams, facilitating workshops and gathering user evidence.
- Experience mentoring Business Analysts and supporting Agile practices within delivery teams.
