On behalf of The Cabinet Office, we are looking for an Internal Communication and Engagement Manager (Inside IR35) for a contract to March 2027 on a hybrid basis Bristol 1-3 days per week, with 1 day per month in London. SC Clearance is essential.

As an Internal Communication and Engagement Manager your main responsibilities will be:
- Work collaboratively across different departments to ensure coordinated and effective communication of the work of the transformation programme.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across government departments and external organisations.
- Plan and deliver internal events, such as town halls, roadshows and lunch and learn sessions.
- Draft high-quality communication materials, including briefings and newsletters.
- Plan and participate in drop-in and information sessions.
- Plan and deliver training sessions to colleagues.
Essential:
- Active SC Clearance is essential for this role (recently lapsed may be considered)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to transform complex information into clear, compelling content.
- Proven track record in using insight to reach target audiences across traditional, consumer and digital channels.
- Leading by influence, excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to quickly gain the trust of senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities to tightdeadlines while maintaining high standards of output.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications, or demonstrable experience, in communications, public relations, or journalism.
- Previous experience working in a government or public sector communications environment.
- Demonstrable experience of working on knowledge and information management projects.
