Description & Requirements


On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Digital Portfolio Manager X2 for a 6 month (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in either Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Blackpool, Sheffield or Birmingham.


The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. As such, we operate on a scale that is almost unmatched anywhere in Europe and most people in Britain come into contact with us at some point in their lives.


Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:


  • Help people to move into work and support those already in work to progress, with the aim of increasing overall workforce participation
  • Help people to plan and save for later life, while providing a safety net for those who need it now
  • Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us every day, including the most vulnerable in society
  • Improve experience of our services while maximising value for money for the taxpayer.


As a Digital Portfolio Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Lead the end-to-end migration of project and portfolio data into the DWP Place environment, including the extraction and transformation of Excel datasets and their structured import into ServiceNow.
  • Cleanse, map and validate Excel data prior to migration to ensure accurate alignment with ServiceNow data models, fields and governance standards.
  • Coordinate with project and portfolio teams to verify the accuracy, completeness and integrity of migrated data within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Troubleshoot data migration issues, resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with DWP data management and platform governance requirements.
  • Develop clear guidance and documentation to support teams in preparing Excel data for migration and maintaining high-quality records within ServiceNow.
  • Provide ongoing user support, training and upskilling to project teams to enable effective data management, updates and reporting within the DWP Place ServiceNow environment.


Essential:

  • Excel experience (Intermediate level)
  • Must be experienced within ServiceNow
  • Mentoring or coaching experience.


Desirable:

  • Public Sector Background
