On behalf of FCDO, we are looking for a Workforce Planning Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 months contract based Hybrid - 2 days in Glasgow office.

As a Workforce Planning Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop, implement and monitor the delivery of the Workforce Planning strategy.
- Conduct analysis on current workforce capability and develop required plan to meet policy and financial requirements.
- Advising and guiding the RSO Director, Senior Leadership Team and other senior staff on people related matters and support production of required reporting documents for Government submissions.
- Building strong relationships with FCDO HR and other organizational counterparts to shape and influence people related matters to protect the interests of RSO staff as well as resolving issues quickly.
- Develop and implement an efficient, effective recruitment, onboarding and induction programme.
- Lead on people engagement activities and strategies including the ongoing development of high performing teams and individuals.
- Lead and develop a team of operational colleagues that will directly drive the Workforce Planning requirements and implementation.
Essential:
- Proven experience of developing and implementing workforce planning strategies.
- In-depth knowledge, skills and experience in successfully leading and delivering a range of people related initiatives.
- HR experience in building and developing organisational growth, capability, and culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise way to a variety of audiences.
- A key influencer and contributor, you will be insightful, with a passion for delivery of a professional service that meets and contributes to the strategy of the organisation.
- As a senior manager you will be highly visible, quickly building trust and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues across RSO, FCDO and Cabinet Office.
- Experience of leading operational teams to deliver at pace whilst maintaining a focus on development of a quality service.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of business planning processes and alignment with strategic objectives
- Experience of working in an IT Service Environment
- Understanding of working across Government and public service
- Strong track record in coaching and people development
