On behalf of UK Space Agency, we are looking for a Space Technology Facilities Development Officer (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract which is a hybrid role so requires 1 day a week in your nearest location - Cardiff, Edinburgh, Harwell and Leicester
The successful candidate will need to be organised, adaptable and a self-motivated individual working across a range of activities. Often working independently, providing support to the Space Technology Facilities and Contracts Manager, whilst engaging with the UK space sector.
As a Space Technology Facilities Development Officer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead on a project to develop and propose a plan for improved Westcott cost oversight with a full operational review to ensure that the facility better meets the needs of future industry.
- Strengthening propulsion innovation developments for the National Space Propulsion Test Facility, collating technical information prior to UK Space Agency reviews.
- Acting as secretariat for the Technology Advisory bodies and helping analyse risk for the team.
- Stakeholder engagement across the business Include colleagues on site at locations
Essential Skills
- Organised, with good planning skills, good interpersonal skills that will enable you to work with a wide range of stakeholders, both within the UK Space Agency and beyond.
- Working with stakeholders to ensure the required outcomes of community engagement are achieved.
- You will have information management skills, including the ability to collate and analyse data.
- You will have a proactive and flexible approach to work, shifting priorities as needed within the team.
- You will work well in a team and independently.
- You will have a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft office package.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of, or interest in, the space / engineering sectors
- Experience of project management support
