Description & Requirements

On behalf of The Bank of England we are looking for a Digital Communications Manager (Inside IR35) for a contract from Feb-July 2026 (possible extension) based in London (2 days on site, remainder WFH/remote).

As a Digital Communications Manager, your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Creating engaging and innovative security content and training material;
  • Implementing a communications planning and governance framework to ensure regular and timely delivery of cyber communications.
  • Coordinating and managing the Cyber Security campaign calendar.
  • Developing cyber security content and key messages, creating consistent visual and narrative style for all security communications, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s established branding.
  • Designing and building campaign materials, ensuring all communications meet accessibility and branding standards, are relatable, and reinforce key security messages across diverse staff groups.
  • Creating cyber security training materials and run induction sessions for new starters and new managers.
  • Applying innovative, creative approaches to content development, ensuring materials are fresh, relevant, and drive real behavioural change.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Booking and promoting monthly speakers to increase awareness on a range of cyber security topics.
  • Overseeing measurement, evaluation, and reporting of campaign effectiveness.
  • Responsible for coaching and training more junior staff

 

Essential: 

  • Highly experienced at creating cyber security communications and training materials in the financial sector or in a highly regulated environment – must be able to work independently.
  • Must have a solid understanding of cyber security and technology and be able clearly explain technical information to non-technical colleagues.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across technical, communications and leadership teams.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to plan and deliver multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Experience with communication and campaign evaluation metrics, analytics and reporting.
  • Qualifications in areas such as Communications, Organisational Change, Behavioural Change
  • An IT or Cyber security qualification such as CompTIA Security + or CISM
     Graphic, print and web design skills

 

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
