On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Data Business Analyst Inside IR35 for a 3 month contract based remotely with occasional travel to Swindon

As a Data Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:
Data Warehouse practitioner: You will have experience of working with facts & dimensions within the context of data mapping and modelling activities, and have a strong data analytics mindset.
• Business Data needs: You have the ability to identify business data from upstream sources, and subsequently able to elicit user requirements of the data downstream, using relevant techniques and approaches.

• Data Modelling & mapping: In addition to collating, synthesising and presenting data requirements to modeller and development teams for delivery, you will be expected to provide data mapping and modelling support when required and are competent with using various data analysis tools.
• Testing & Delivery: You can define and review requirements, specifications and test conditions, plus can identify issues and risks associated and analyse the results from data ingestion, modelling and delivery testing.
• Stakeholder Management: You can tailor communications based upon audience, can provide timely and necessary activity reporting, and are able to build rapport across matrix team structures.
• Problem Solving & Decision Making: You can investigate problems, analyse options and provide recommendations for solutions; taking opposing views to reach consensus and using evidence to explain rationale.
• Agile Working: You have a trusted and well-used ‘kit bag’ of approaches, and can compare, select and support the most appropriate tool or method, alongside able to prioritise activities and balance workload demands.
• Business Improvement: You know how to analyse current services and processes, and can identify and implement opportunities to optimsie these.
• Organisational Practice: You may have experience of working on projects and/or BAU products within a complex, mult-stakeholder public sector organisation.
• Personal qualities: Can work independently and competently, have a strong appreciation of the remit of the role and how it fits into the broader context of the organisation, will advance the BDA practition through sharing methodologies, will build strong working relationships, and will pro-actively drive positive change.
