Description & Requirements


On behalf of NS&I, we are looking for an IT Service Architect (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract-based Hybrid / in LONDON.

As an IT Service Architect, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Establish Taxonomy process and develop a hierarchical taxonomy structure for services (Business Services, Capabilities, Service Offerings, Business Applications)
  • Implement a Taxonomy template collating all details (service level, service owner, support, definitions)
  • Define classification criteria, naming conventions and standards. Align and integrate Taxonomy with ITIL, SIAM, Tooling and Enterprise Architecture principles
  • Identify Taxonomy mapping to releases and Map Taxonomy to CMDB, Service Portfolio, Service Catalogue and foundational data
  • Service Design- Map Taxonomy to Service Design Packages and documents.
  • Define service models including service components, SLAs, contracts to Releases
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to embed Service requirements into Service Designs
  • Create Service Design Packages (Service models, RACIS, support models, SLAs, process engagement, CMDB, etc)
  • Engage with Service Design Coordination and follow the process
  • Transition Planning- Assist in Service Readiness assessments
  • Communicate Service Design Packages and built into Quality Gate reviews and approvals
  • Participate in design reviews and Quality Gate approvals
  • Ensure service designs provide a holistic service (compliance, security, regulatory standards)
  • Governance & Collaboration- Collaboration with various stakeholders (solution architects, business analysts, Enterprise service management, Transition managers...)
  • Regular check-ins and weekly progress reports
  • Ongoing governance & review of taxonomy & SDDs


Essential:

  • Service Design/Architecture experience
  • Service Implementation background
  • Experience in ServiceNow and Service Map.
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 \ v4
  • Service Management Tool Design & Specification experience.
  • Translating business visions, goals, objectives and high-level requirements into Service Architectures
  • Experience in taxonomy design and service classification
  • Developing Service Design Documents
  • Developing service models for large and complex programmes, managing performance and coherent integration across multi-vendor ecosystems
  • Ensuring the achievement of formal confirmation that service acceptance criteria have been met, and that the service provider is ready to operate the new service when it has been deployed
  • Delivering service models in line with strategy as defined by the Enterprise Architecture Framework.
