On behalf of The Government Property Agency, we are looking for a Business Manager for a 3 months contract based REMOTELY with occasional travel to either Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham
The Government Property Agency is an Executive Agency of the cabinet office. It is changing the way the Civil Service works and is at the forefront of Government's transformation agenda; reshaping the relationship civil servants have with their place of work. The Agency is central to the delivery of key Government policies including moving 22,000 Civil Service roles out of London by 2030 and tackling climate change by contributing to the Net Zero agenda. To do this we are delivering a major change programme across the UK and consolidating our portfolio in order to save £1.4 Bn over 10 years.

This is an ambitious and exciting task, for which we need innovative people, with strong commercial acumen, who are passionate about visualising and implementing customer needs.
As a Business Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Analyse business issues and recommend or implement solutions to support the HR Deputy Director (HRDD) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
- Commission and provide people and HR data for governance boards and performance reporting, using collaboration tools to ensure timely and accurate updates.
- Manage daily communications and demands on the HRDD, including prioritisation, decision support, and confidential task management
- Oversee the HRDD’s diary, ensuring optimal time use, and manage incoming correspondence with timely responses and actions
- Provide admin support to the HR SLT, including commissioning meeting papers, maintaining tracking documents, and managing Google Drive folders in line with knowledge and information management policies.
- Assist with recruitment processes and a variety of HR team tasks, maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Raise and manage purchase orders (POs) for the HR team and wider organisation
Essential:
- Proven experience as Business Manager
- Excellent communication skills and attention to details
- Proactive and good organizational skills
Desirable:
- Experience in supporting HR
- Google suite
