On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager for a 3 Month contract based in Manchester, Birmingham or Milton Keynes Hybrid working

As a Senior Procurement Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop, and continually enhance, programme and project specific procurement strategies that complement the regional strategy and maintain the security of supply and value for money and HSQE performance for a range of contracts including goods, works, and services.
- Perform the full range of procurement and contracting activities including strategy development, pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and preparation of framework contracts
- Provide procurement advice on a regional basis relating to specific portfolio issues.
- Support pre-contract procurement of main contractors/suppliers and where appropriate actively influence the procurement of sub-contracting activity by the main contractors/suppliers.
- Exercise compliance with Network Rail policies, procedures, and governance and legal (including EU Directives) and regulatory requirements.
- Identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities and contribute to the achievement of efficiency targets for a specific portfolio.
- Exercise delegated authority to procure following established policies and governance.
Essential:
- Preparation of framework contracts
- Sound commercial aptitude and sound knowledge of relevant Supplier Markets.
- Excel Analytics
- Varied and successful procurement and contracts background with experience in negotiation and developing and implementing procurement and contract strategies
Desirable:
- Network Rail Experience
