On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Portfolio Analyst - Inside IR35 for a 6 Month contract (with possible extension) based Hybrid - up to 3 days p/week in London / Corsham.

As a Portfolio Analyst your main responsibilities will be:
- Financial & Commercial Project Pipeline: Identify and categorise new projects with business areas.
- Governance & Reporting: Coordinate financial reporting, provide performance analysis, and act as secretariat for governance boards.
- People & Leadership: Support Portfolio Manager in building commitment to a shared vision.
- Planning & Resourcing: Maintain portfolio delivery map, monitor project progress, and track interdependencies.
- Finance Management: Track spends against forecast, develop financial management plans, and work with Finance Business Partners.
- Risk & Stakeholder Management: Identify and escalate risks, engage with stakeholders, and manage correspondence.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
You'll have:
- Proven experience in managing portfolios / P3M within public sector environments.
- An understanding of financial management & terminology.
- Adaptability - ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
- Expert stakeholder management skills - to senior levels.
- Agile methodology experience - desirable.
- Ability to deliver portfolio analysis within a technical environment - desirable.
- A relevant Project Management qualification - desirable.
