Description & Requirements

On behalf of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, we are looking for a HR Advisor (HEO) - Inside IR35 for a 5 month contract working on a Hybrid basis (3 days per week in Manchester office and remaining WFH)

The main duties and responsibilities of the HR Advisor (HEO) would be to:

  • Support drafting, engagement and implementation of internal HR policies, including key stakeholder engagement, managing the process from start to finish.
  • Implement HR processes whilst managing employee relations, dealing with disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Minimise disputes and employment tribunal costs through effective implementation of policies, engaging with Senior Management, Line Managers and staff.
  • Be a point of escalation for operational issues and work to resolve these by applying appropriate guidance.
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders on change implementation projects, influencing and supporting the change.
  • Escalate issues and problems appropriately.
  • Ensure systems and process are effective and challenge and continuously improve service delivery.


Essential:

  • Experience of developing HR policies
  • Excellent Customer Service and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Previous ER experience
  • Public Sector / Civil Service experience


Desirable:

  • Knowledgeable and confident in presenting work
  • Strong understanding of Employment Law legislation
