Job summary

We’re expanding our HR Resourcing Team and have an exciting opportunity to recruit an additional Recruitment Consultant.  You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of effective recruitment campaigns across all directorates within HMLR. This includes internal, across-government and external recruitment campaigns and the procurement of contractors.

Job description

Main Duties include..

  • Manage end to end recruitment campaigns/exercises at all grades, advising recruiting managers on the appropriate method of recruitment and selection.
  • Ensure all recruitment activity is designed to attract and select the best candidates, ensuring value for money.
  • Ensure recruitment is conducted in accordance with HMLR policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Manage elements of the onboarding process, including resolving escalated queries from the onboarding team and some team management duties.
  • Respond to candidate queries professionally and promptly, supporting them with adjustments to the process where required.
  • Increase our digital footprint online, promoting our Employee Value Proposition, utilising social media and working with the communications team and external providers where required to get the best outcomes.
  • Carry out proactive resourcing activity on LinkedIn Recruiter and supporting managers with the shortlisting process and pre-recorded video interviews.
  • Gain customer feedback from stakeholders to make and deliver improvements to the service.
  • Co-ordinate and manage external contracts relating to resourcing.
  • Provide training and development to stakeholders at all levels, particularly in respect of new legislation, processes or complex issues, and provide them with advice and support on all resourcing issues.

Person specification

To be successful in this role you will have experience of advising managers on the end to end recruitment process, including supporting high volume campaigns. You will have experience of shortlisting applications and telephone screening candidates and the ability to influence and communicate in an engaging manner and challenge stakeholders appropriately at all levels.

You will need to provide a CV. This will be assessed against the following:

  • Experience of advising managers on the end to end recruitment process, including supporting high volume campaigns.
  • Experience of shortlisting applications and telephone screening candidates

If you are successful you will be invited to a telephone screening that will assess the following: 

  • Experience of shortlisting applications and telephone screening candidates
  • The ability to influence and communicate in an engaging manner and challenge stakeholders appropriately at all levels.
  • Experience of advising on recruitment policies, including complex issues.
  • Organisational and effective planning/time management and prioritisation skills to deliver multiple campaigns simultaneously.

If you are successful at this stage you will be invited to a face to face interview in the Nottingham office where you will be further assessed on your technical skills, experience and your strengths. You will also have the opportunity to find out more about the role. 

The desirable criteria will be only be assessed in the event of a tie break at the interview stage, so do include these in your CV if you can demonstrate your experience here.
