On behalf of The Cabinet Office, we are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager (Inside IR35) for a contract up to the 31st March 2025 (with possible extension) based remotely (with attendance in York if/when required, 1-2 times per month)

As a Senior Commercial Manager your main responsibilities will be:
- Act as the single point of contact for IBCA requirements related to Professional, Digital and Technology requirements.
- Oversee the C&PS governance process for all related requirements
- Work closely with the IBCA Commercial Business Partners to develop a robust pipeline and commercial strategy for Professional, Digital and Technology requirements. This includes working with business partners to provide constructive independent and value-add advice on business specifications.
- Lead the procurement in accordance with the Commercial Strategy for all Professional, Digital and Technology requirements; engaging with strategic sourcing partners where appropriate (Bloom, CGI)
- Ensure robust Contract Handover to Contract Managers with clear Contract Management Plans
- Act as the Commercial point of escalation for any contract management issues within this category
- Provision of relevant MI and progress updates to IBCA and Senior Commercial Business Partners. The IBCA pipeline will form the initial basis for these updates.
- Works to understand Technology Contracts in the CO Portfolio and the processes for triaging requirements with CO Digital and Commercial
- Work with CO Digital Commercial & Finance teams to put an MOU in place to allow for IBCA to access Technology contracts and then to review monthly consumption and Pipeline requirements. This includes working with IBCA to ensure that the right level of service is required and to ensure that billing (including VAT treatment) is accurate.
Essential:
- Public Sector procurement experience
- Strategic commercial awareness and ability
- Experience with contract / category management
- Stakeholder relationship management experience
