On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Road Vehicle Compiance Manager for a 3 month contract based around the York area.

As a Road Vehicle Compliance Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Manage, comply and meet the requirements set out by the Traffic Commissioner to enable governance and ownership of Network Rail Operators Licence for the designated location.
- Undertake the role of named and responsible person for Network Rail’s Operators Licence (DVSA).
- Undertake audits on the fleet and locations as detailed in the process guide.
- Manage the driver pool within your geographical location in terms of legality to drive, drivers hours, driver training and development.
- Support and undertake as required investigations into driving/vehicle breaches. Use system-generated data to identify high-risk drivers and actively support line managers to consider a number of actions to seek a constructive change in attitude towards safe and considerate driving.
- Provide risk-based analysis of all fleet-related risks in the designated location and maintain the agreed fleet size for the geographical area.
Essential:
- Knowledge and skills to undertake fleet audits/safety investigations/incident & accident investigations.
- Significant experience and knowledge of transport regulations.
- Knowledge of relevant railway geography and network capability.
- Able to work under pressure, take ownership and solve problems promptly.
- Able to evaluate complex factors and make decisions to maximise benefit to Network Rail.
- Experience in a fleet manager role/engineer responsible for a large mixed fleet.
