On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer for a 9 month contract based onsite which does require 5 days a week in the York office, please note additional travel is required which will be expensed

The project engineer will manage the implementation of the new 25kV isolation standard NR/L3/ELP/SAI25 across an area of Eastern Region. This will involve supporting the delivery agents in their transition to the new standard and the assessment of residual electrical hazards. The process is being implemented across the entire region.
As a Senior Project Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Implementing a new national standard for ore line isolations, a significant change as part of that process is a risk assessment, Individuals would be isolations of 25kv systems. Standard rules 29987.
- Manage a geographical area and a number of groups to manage the transition, checking that people have been trained, supporting as they step through the process, working through supporting & go live of the process. Moving between locations often, supporting individuals and performing tasks for Carl and the SPE assurance of what's occurring
- Ensure compliance of [Route] with SAI25 in line with project implementation plan
- Collaborate/Lead with DU on development of residual electrical risk hazard register in collaboration with SPE
- Manage/develop a solution on signaling risk assessments required as part of SAI25
- Push for Level 1 Assurance activities to be undertaken/instilled in DU regimes
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in the delivery of OLE Insulations on rail projects and programmes of work
- Engineering experience on the rail sector
- Experience of the assurance work required
- Stakeholder engagement across both project management and engineering delivery
- Strong self starter with a flexible pro active approach
