On behalf of Network Rail we are looking for a Graphic Design Lead for a 6 month (Inside IR35) contract. Hybrid working with 3-4 days per week in York.

Joining a Comms team you will be the design resource responsible for creating graphic elements that underpin interaction and service design for Communications and Engagement.
You will ensure that content is legible and readable and that users see and understand interactions for both online and offline media.
You will influence and mentor others whilst working with others to develop design concepts, set direction and assure the quality of design delivery across teams.
No two days are the same from creating presentation slides, to creating website content, and you will need to be comfortable with working in an ambiguous environment.
Essential:
- Strong demonstratable Graphic Design experience, ideally in a Public Sector or similar setting.
- Ability to lead teams in Agile and Lean practices, determining the right approach for the team.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate discussions across high risk and complexity or under constrained timescales.
- Ability to apply a digital understanding to your work, being able to identify and implement solutions for assisted digital.
- Ability to design systems for use across multiple services and can identify the simplest approach.
- Know how to prioritise and mitigate constraints and can turn them into an advantage.
- Ability to make and justify decisions characterised by high levels of risk, impact and complexity.
- Ability to apply strategic thinking in how to provide the best service for the end user.
