Description & Requirements
On behalf of The Department for Transport, we are looking for a Project Manager Inside IR35 for a 12 months contract based Remotely with travel once a month to either York or London.

As a Project Manager , your main responsibilities will be to:
- Lead on reviewing key elements of local/combined authority business cases (£30m+ schemes) including Strategic, Management and Economic cases. Providing high quality advice to sponsor teams, inputting to and developing papers for DfT approvals committees including RIC/LIDIC
- Update, and operate wider sponsorship dashboard to administer the programme and track progress, including quarterly reporting LUF/CRSTS/MRN schemes into capital schemes database, reporting to ATE Sponsorship Board
- Lead liaison with ATE Inspectorate and wider sponsor teams in DfT including LRTA team, attend meetings, co-ordinate ATE design assurance/VfM responses to LUF/CRSTS schemes in timely manner
- Attend and represent ATE at external meetings with local/combined authorities and LUF/CRSTS wider sponsor teams to support business case development, taking notes for team review
- Manage business case evidence folders, team communications
- Administer active travel elements of LUF/CRSTS and ATF change control system and quarterly reporting on ATF funds
Essential:
- Relevant project management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2) and/or experience
- Business case development, governance, assurance and change control
- Visible leadership and excellent organisational skills - able to deliver stated objectives and support the ATE’s wider funds programme
- Good communication skills - able to develop and maintain communications with project managers , specialists, and other stakeholders, building effective and collaborative relationships
