AMS PSR

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Project Manager (Inside IR35) for an 18 month contract based remotely but does Include 2 days a week on site minimum in Corsham - occasional visits to other sites may be required as part of the role

This post sits within the Delivery Programme Management Office whose role is to support the delivery, control assurance and governance of SATCOM. It sets the standards for delivery and looks at organisational strategy

This post provides the governance and controls for DPMO Sup, which supports the satellite capability of the MOD.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.

As a Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Stakeholder – liaison with stakeholders to gather data. Act as a point of contact for governance and reporting.
• Supporting the Risk and issue management team – Work with RAIDO (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunities) manager/ risk owners to report risks to project boards
• Project Management – Day to day management and leadership of the governance team. Set project controls, design the project structure appropriate to stage. Select and apply appropriate delivery methodologies.
• Governance – Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making
• Change Management – Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
• Project Performance & Controls – Build Project Plan and apply appropriate project principles to deliver stated objectives. Identify and set appropriate Projects

Essential Skills

• Extensive experience in governance and reporting which can be either from project management or PMO skillset
• Project management delivery Including Risk, issues and dependances
• Strong organisational and facilitating skillset
• Stakeholder engagement at all levels
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong self starter
