Description & Requirements

On behalf of Defra, we are looking for a Vetting Administrative Officer - (Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract working on a part time (2.5 days per week) hybrid basis with Weybridge as the office location.

We are looking to recruit a driven and professional individual who will be responsible for quality assuring requests for security clearance to operate at the APHA Weybridge location.


The post holder will be responsible for providing high quality administrative support to the wider Personnel Security/Vetting team and engaging with United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) to raise requests, taking ownership of cases and supervising them through to completion.


The post holder will act as primary point of contact to our customers, providing advice and guidance on the various services we offer, to ensure their personnel security needs are met. Customer service and a keen eye for detail is key.


As a Vetting Administrative Officer - (Inside IR35), your main responsibilities will be:

  •  Management of vetting administration
  • Responding to general queries
  • Providing sound advice and guidance in line with industry standards


Essential:

  • SC / CTC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks
  • IT Literate
  • Exceptional Communications skills
  • Stakeholder engagement experience
  • Experience of working routine tasks that can often be repetitive
