On behalf of the Intellectual Property Office, we are looking for a Infrastructure Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 6 months contract based REMOTELY.

We are responsible for:
- IPO Policy
- educating businesses and consumers about IP rights and responsibilities
- supporting IP enforcement
- granting UK Patents, trademarks and design rights
We have a small office in the heart of London, but our main office is on the outskirts of Newport, South Wales.

As a Infrastructure Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Support and maintain infrastructure solutions and services in line with departmental policies.
- Ensure infrastructure services are delivered effectively and meet user requirements.
- Collaborate with third-party providers to deliver and support infrastructure services.
- Build, configure, administer, and support a wide range of infrastructure technologies including:
- Computing, storage, and networking
- Physical infrastructure and software
- COTS and open-source packages
- Virtual and cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Investigate and resolve issues in systems, processes, and services.
- Produce detailed designs and documentation using standard methods and tools, including prototyping where appropriate.
Essential:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in:
- Microsoft Server operating systems
- Group Policy management
- PowerShell scripting
- Strong understanding of infrastructure design and support principles.
- Ability to document technical work clearly and effectively.
Desirable:
- Exposure to Linux-based operating systems
- Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management
Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
