Description & Requirements
On behalf of National Crime Agency, we are looking for a Technical Architect (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based hybrid in Stratford once per week.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
As a Technical Architect, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Undertake structured analysis of technical issues, translating this analysis into technical designs that describe a solution
- Be consulted about design and provide design patterns
- Identify deeper issues that need fixing
- Look for opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Essential:
- Sufficient confidence, experience and skills to provide guidance, steers and assurance to, and be accountable for integration and outcomes on the following:
- VMWare VCF – automation and orchestration
- Datacentre compute and storage
- Modern windows server
- Linux operating systems
- Container technologies such as Tanzu, Docker, Omnissa VDI, PKI, EDRMS, PKI
- Real time collaboration
- ITSM and system monitoring
- Focus upon design for outcomes
- Collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly through the lens of problem solving
- Familiarity with the HMG DDaT Capability Framework
- Ability to undertake structured analysis of technical issues, translating this into technical designs that describe a solution
- Identify deeper technical/architectural issues/risks and suggest solutions
- Identify opportunities to collaborate and reuse components
- Ability to translate roadmaps and strategies into technical solutions
- Strong experience of using architectural principles, patterns and constraints
