Description & Requirements

On behalf of HM Land Registry, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based Hybrid in any HM Land Registry office 60% of the time.

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for the delivery and provide leadership towards the on-going success and continuous improvement of one or more strategically important digital products and/or platforms. They will be accountable to the Lead Product Manager for ensuring that business needs are considered and met and agreed targets are achieved.


As a Senior Product Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Provide a lead on the strategies and visions that are bold and ambitious.
  • Ensure visions, strategies and roadmaps are aligned across your own products and other products and to HM Land Registry plans.
  • Be an advocate for agile approaches and digital services.
  • Support and develop product people to make them the best they can be
  • Challenge current ways of working to drive continuous improvement.
  • Define, own and resolve complex problems.
  • Keep your people up to date and encourage open communications and idea sharing.
  • Ensure plans are in place to manage your products through their lifecycle, including retirement where appropriate.
  • Build and manage successful relationships with significant stakeholders.
  • Focus on outcomes not solutions and coach others to do the same.
  • Coach and lead teams in agile working, determining the right approach for the team to take and evaluating this through the life of a project.
  • Think of new and innovative ways of working to achieve the right outcomes for all users
  • Work with and challenge senior stakeholders, being accountable for the products which you are managing throughout their lifecycle


Essential:

  • Taking a user centred design approach to develop a product or service or iterate an existing product or service.
  • Using innovation to challenge the as-is and solve problems to enable delivery.
  • Experience of developing a product roadmap.
  • Ability to create and nurture good working relationships.
  • Able to lead in the creation of programmes/strategies that allow for the coaching and development of others.
  • Delivery of products or services using agile methodologies.


Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
