Process Engineer – Inside/Outside IR35
Contract Duration: 3 – 12 months
Contract Authority: Public Sector Resourcing
Location: Remote, Hybrid & UK Wide

Job Purpose:
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing and industrial processes. You will analyse operations, develop improvements, and ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
As a Process Engineer your main responsibilities would be to:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Analyse production data and process performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process control strategies to maintain product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to improve process effectiveness.
- Conduct root cause analysis of process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and equipment to enhance production capabilities.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on process improvements
- Lead or assist in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
You’ll have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering (or related field).
- Proven experience in a process engineering or manufacturing role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in process simulation and modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, Aspen HYSYS).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills & Attributes:
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience with automation and control systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, OSHA, GMP).
- Experience in the [industry-specific] sector (e.g., pharmaceuticals, automotive, oil & gas, food processing, etc.).
