As a Nuclear Safety Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

• Lead a team in producing and delivering safety documentation through the governance process.
• Take ownership of safety documentation as directed by senior management
• Ensure company safety strategies, policies, and management system requirements are communicated and understood.
•  Contribute to assessing safety assessments and Licence Condition compliance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Assist in verifying safety documentation and mentor others in safety assessment techniques.
• Maintain high standards in security, environment, safety, and health, and deputize for the Group Leader, Nuclear Safety when needed.

Essential: 

• Ability to perform detailed risk assessments and safety analyses on nuclear decommissioning projects
• In-depth understanding of nuclear safety principles, regulations, and industry standards specific to decommissioning

• Expertise in designing and implementing safety procedures for decommissioning operation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare safety documentation and reports, and liaise with regulatory bodies
• Proficiency in managing complex decommissioning projects, ensuring safety and compliance throughout the process
