Description & Requirements


On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Building Information Lead - Inside IR35 for a 6 Month contract based Hybrid - Remote & 3 days p/week in Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Blackpool, Glasgow, Birmingham or Pontypridd.


The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As a Building Information Lead, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Establish and manage a new Common Data Environment (CDE) to support capital projects and digital asset management.
  • Lead pilot programmes and develop DWP’s strategic CDE proposal, including lessons learned and future roadmap.
  • Support BIM and Government Soft Landings (GSL) processes across the Digital Estate portfolio.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidance for structured data and digital estate management.
  • Drive change management initiatives related to CDE adoption and digital transformation.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and government departments to ensure effective data sharing and continuous improvement.


You'll have:

  • Proven experience with BIM & Information Management (ISO19650).
  • Extensive experience in setting up & managing a common data environment.
  • Government soft landings & the "golden thread" principle.
  • Ability to develop procurement strategies for new technologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience.
  • Viewpoint / Autodesk Construction Cloud / A-Site / Glider system experience.
