On behalf of Public Sector Resourcing, we are looking for a Court Usher for a contract based in various locations Nationwide.

The Court Usher will prepare courts for sitting, keep courtrooms clean and tidy, and assist judges with case preparation.


As a Court usher, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Preparing courtrooms and keeping them clean and tidy
  • Working with judges, preparing their documents for cases (both in-person and via Microsoft Teams)
  • Performing processing work and court clerking
  • Scanning documents and transferring files
  • Liaising with members of the judiciary
  • Uploading documents onto electronic systems/databases
  • Contacting relevant parties, schedule hearings, serve court documents, and execute warrants
  • Liaising with judges and clerks regarding papers for hearings
  • Obtaining names of all parties and complete court records
  • Swearing in witnesses, administer oaths, and track attendance of scheduled parties
  • Supervising jury deliberation
  • Complying with office standards such as timekeeping and dress code
  • Providing assistance elsewhere in the office as required


Essential:


  • Experience in a public-facing environment is desirable
  • Provide administrative support and follow set procedures
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office
  • Polite and helpful to all customers, both external and internal
  • Remain calm, tactful, and sensitive in difficult situations
  • Efficient in addressing customer needs
  • Communicate important information promptly and clearly
