Description & Requirements

On behalf of National Savings & Investments, we are looking for a Project Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract (with the possibility of extension) on a hybrid basis in either London, Glasgow, Durham or Lythan St Annes.

This role is subject to Baseline Personnel Security Standard and financial credit checks.


As a Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Project Assurance - To be responsible for providing assurance to all NS&I stakeholders on a portfolio of projects. This includes (but is not restricted to):
  • Project Delivery Management - To be responsible for the management and delivery of all NS&I project related activities and deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle, to agreed time, cost and quality targets (where appropriate). This includes (but is not restricted to): Corporate Project Management - To be responsible for the management and delivery of all aspects of assigned NS&I projects or NS&I project deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle, to agreed time, cost and quality targets (where appropriate). This includes (but is not restricted to): Project Team, Project Stakeholders
  • Project Governance - To ensure an appropriate governance structure and procedures are in place for the project to enable appropriate oversight
  • Strategic Direction - To ensure the project is aligned to appropriate NS&I strategies at all times, and that it progresses according to the delivery schedule


Essential:

  • Practical experience of successfully managing a variety of projects using a variety of methodologies, including business change and IT projects, covering the entire project lifecycle.
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience dealing with multi level stakeholders.
  • Previous experience working within a multi-supplier environment
  • Relevant Project management qualification: Prince2, AMP or equvilent


Desirable:

  • Previous public sector / civil service experience.
