AMS PSR

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner (Inside IR35/PAYE) for a 6 month contract based any UK based MOJ Office 2 days per week.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

The Director of Digital area supports the Central Digital function and the operations facing digital teams covering areas such as Prisons, Probation, Legal Aid, OPG and CICA.

This role will be part of the Finance Business Partner Team supporting Ministry of Justice Digital. The immediate team supports the Director of Digital and the Senior Management Team and supports them in managing a budget of approximately £200m and the postholder will be part of a team of 3 finance business partners providing support to the lead FBP for this area

As a Finance Business Partner, your main responsibilities will be:

• Maintain financial management standards and ensure adherence to the Financial Control Framework across the business.
• Develop knowledge of financial drivers, risks, and opportunities related to business objectives and spending plans within delegated limits.
• Ensure business activities and strategic objectives consider financial impact, risk, and opportunities.
• Ensure financial planning assumptions are clear and thoroughly tested.
• Translate complex information and analysis into meaningful insights and trusted advice for management decision making and problem solving.
• Analyse financial performance, identify adverse trends, challenge forecasts, prompt mitigating actions, and propose effective solution

Essential:

• Experience in a Finance business Partner position
• Financial Management and Control.
• Strategic Financial Planning.
• Insightful Decision Support
