AMS PSR

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice we are looking for a Senior Digital Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. Hybrid working with 2 days per week in any MOJ office. 

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

The Senior Delivery Manager role will focus on leading and overseeing the successful delivery of a set of complex projects and services, ensuring they meet strategic goals, budgets, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include stakeholder management, leading delivery across cross-functional teams, managing risks, planning and reporting. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and expertise in project management methodologies, acting as a main point of escalation for complex issues.

Key Responsibilities 

• Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple complex and high-risk projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and time constraints.
• Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, manage expectations, and ensure clear communication and alignment across all parties.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing effective mitigation strategies and acting as the primary point of escalation for complex problems.
• Deliver strong high and low level plans and produce quality reporting and follow governance.
• Quality & Performance: Ensure services and projects adhere to defined quality standards, implement best practices, and continuously monitor and analyse performance metrics to drive improvement.
• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior leadership to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with overall business strategy and goals.
• Supplier Management: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and drive value.

Essential:

• An active SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. (Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.) 
• Deep knowledge and experience with various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean) and tools.
• Ability to contribute to strategic visioning and develop innovative solutions to complex delivery challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Experience in commercial management and managing complex relationships with contracted suppliers.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and lead diverse teams.
