On behalf of Crown Commercial Services we are looking for a Senior Digital Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. Hybrid working with 2 days per week in either Birmingham, Liverpool or Newport.

The key accountability of the Senior Delivery Manager is governance across all projects and ensuring effective transition to business as usual (incident management, change management and continual improvement). As such the Senior Delivery Manager has a vital role in creating long-term healthy stakeholder relationships across the technology team.
As a Senior Digital Delivery Manager your main responsibilities will be to:
- Overseeing the creation and execution of project and programme management plans.
- Leading the collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity/capability of the team.
- Matrix management of a multi-disciplinary team, including 3rd party delivery partners and performance against agreed KPIs.
- Ensuring Digital Transformation Programme principles are adhered to.
- Manage quality, completeness and timeliness of each project by ensuring the appropriate use of agile/lean project management methodology.
- Work in collaboration with the Product Managers and Technical Architects to define the roadmap for any given project/product.
- Consolidating information and reporting to CTO and Head of Technology Service Delivery.
- Managing (and escalating) risks & issues at a programme level.
- Managing dependencies across workstreams.
- Ensuring correct timing and quality of GDS assessments and Cabinet Office spend control submissions.
- Fiscal controls - ensuring the projects/work streams are delivered within budget.
Essential:
- Proven experience in leading medium-to-large digital projects, demonstrating ownership of project planning, delivery, risk management, and successful implementation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage, influence, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non‑technical.
- Robust business acumen, with hands‑on experience in areas such as financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting business case development.
- High level of technical awareness and digital literacy, with the ability to understand technical concepts, liaise confidently with technical teams, and make informed decisions.
- Demonstrable experience working within Agile delivery environments, including familiarity with Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, iterative delivery, and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
Desirable:
- Experience within both the UK Public and Private sector.
- Knowledge / experience of Digital Product Management.
