On behalf of The Ministry of Justice we are looking for a Digital Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. Hybrid working with up to 2 days per week in any MOJ UK office. 

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

The Delivery Manager will be joining the Justice Redact team – comprising Full-Stack Developer, DevOps Engineer, Data Scientists, a User Researcher, a Senior Interaction Designer, a Content Designer, a Product Lead, and Subject Matter Experts – to ensure the team works well together and the right AI product is built, delivered efficiently, and actually works in the real world.

The project addresses a significant challenge within the Ministry of Justice (MoJ): a rapidly increasing demand for data through Subject Access Requests (SARs), Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and other information-heavy use cases. Current workflows rely heavily on manual, fragmented processes, making it difficult to meet strict legal deadlines and driving up costs through external suppliers or additional staffing. The Delivery Manager will play a key role in overseeing service delivery, ensuring strong focus on user and business value while driving effective technical execution.

As a Digital Delivery Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

• Build and maintain the delivery roadmap and ensure delivery aligns with government standards. Own delivery from prototype to MVP to scalable service.
• Ensure adherence to accessibility and service standards, and ethical AI practices.
• Align the team on success criteria and ensure the MVP is testable and measurable.
• Facilitate a high-performing multidisciplinary team and enable effective collaboration between technical and non-technical roles. Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the project team.
• Ensure the MVP is deployable in a real environment.
• Translate AI complexity into clear, non-technical updates.
• Be comfortable and adaptive with AI delivery and the inherent uncertainty that comes with this.
• Manage dependencies, risks and governance.

Essential:

• Demonstratable experience of Project Delivery within an IT / Digital setting.
• Experienced in working with Agile methodologies, managing tasks and supporting the delivery of the core functionality of an MVP in fortnightly sprints to validate product concepts.
• Previous experience of working in government is preferred.
• Experience of delivering AI related projects is highly desirable.
