Description & Requirements
On behalf of The Ministry of Justice we are looking for a Digital Business Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. Hybrid working with 2 days per week required in any MOJ office.
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.
As a Digital Business Analyst your main responsibilities will be to:
- Understand and analyse user and business needs.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, work independently, have a good understanding of their own work area and advance the BA community through the sharing of best practice.
- Work to an agreed minimum viable product (MVP), print and scope.
- Identify and implement opportunities to analyse and optimise current services and processes.
- Use a wide range of techniques to model situations confidently and gain agreement from SME's and stakeholders.
- Report on system quality and collect metrics on test cases.
- Apply a digital understanding to the work and identify and implement solutions.
- Work innovatively and use the most appropriate tools and methods.
- Identify issues and risks and able to analyse and report test activities and results.
Essential:
- Demonstratable Business Analyst experience within a Digital setting.
- Experience of working with external suppliers.
- Total Facilities Management and Software as a Service (SaaS) experience.
- Understanding of the complexities of integration of different supplier systems.
- Experience of delivering at pace and with ambiguity.
Desirable:
- Previous experience of working in the UK Public Sector.
- System decommissioning experience.
