AMS PSR

On behalf of The Insolvency Service we are looking for a Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract (until 31/03/26) contract. Hybrid working with 2 days per week required in London or Birmingham. 

We’re looking for a Delivery Manager to lead agile delivery for one of our major digital service re-platforming projects. You’ll ensure delivery teams are empowered to work effectively, remove blockers, and deliver high-quality services that meet user needs and departmental priorities. You’ll be part of a digital leadership team driving a fast-paced transformation programme.

As a Delivery Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

• Lead agile ceremonies and create an environment for continuous delivery and improvement.
• Coach teams and stakeholders on agile principles, ensuring alignment with GDS ways of working.
• Remove impediments and manage dependencies to keep delivery on track.
• Track, communicate, and manage delivery progress, risks, and issues.
• Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Work closely with product managers to ensure a clear and prioritised backlog.
• Build trust and resilience within teams during periods of change or uncertainty.
• Present progress and outcomes effectively to senior stakeholders.

Essential:

• Confident coordinating delivery across multiple scrum teams with a strong grasp of agile delivery practices.
• Deep knowledge of the GDS lifecycle and able to maintain delivery momentum from Discovery to Live.
• Proven track record delivering complex digital services at pace, managing risks and dependencies.
• Highly proficient in Jira for delivery planning, sprint management, reporting, and workflow optimisation.
• Self-starter who can hit the ground running, remove blockers, and align teams and stakeholders quickly.
