AMS PSR

On behalf of the MOD we are looking for a Data Migration Lead (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. Hybrid working with 2-3 days per week required in Bristol or Blackpool.

As a Data Migration Lead your main responsibilities will be to:

• Develop the overall data migration strategy, including approach, scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define data governance and quality standards.
• Identify data migration risks and dependencies, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Lead the data mapping process: source-to-target mapping between legacy systems and the ERP.
• Identify data transformation rules required to conform to the new system’s data model.
• Work with business users to identify and resolve data quality issues in legacy systems.

Essential:

• An active SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. (Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.)
• Experience of Data Migration, Maturity Assessments and Cleansing. 
• Experience of leading a large-scale corporate data cleansing and migration exercise.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Desirable:

• Defence / Public Sector experience. 
• Knowledge of MoD Functional Processes, Data and/or Systems.
• Knowledge of Defence Business Services Operations.
