On behalf of UKRI we are looking for a Data Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. Remote working with occasional travel to Swindon.

As a Data Analyst your main responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for analysing and interpreting complex data sets to identify and address quality issues.
- Work closely with users around the business departments to monitor data quality, creating and executing plans to remediate those with the highest priority.
- Contribute to populating and maintaining the UKRI Business Glossary and Data Catalogue.
- Leverage the data integrity and governance components of the Talend Data Quality framework.
Essential:
- Hands-on data analysis skills – including use of SQL and visualisation tools, eg Tableau.
- Experience using data profiling and process automation to manage and support data governance and data quality improvements.
- Demonstrable experience of data governance and management principles and practice, including data quality management, lineage & catalogues, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Confident using the relevant statutory frameworks such as the GDPR and other data privacy regulations to drive good data management practice.
- Hands-on experience with data governance and management tooling, with the exposure to the Talend Data Fabric toolset an advantage.
