On behalf of NRS, we are looking for a Finance Transformation Manager for a 24 month hybrid contract based in Dounreay.

As a Finance Transformation Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Design and embed a consistent, effective FBP structure (service scope, role clarity, interfaces with Financial Accounting, FP&R, Sanction & Strategic Planning), PMO, aligned to the Finance TOM and three‑pillar model.
  • Define and publish the FBP “service catalogue” and RACI for sites, programmes and corporate functions; implement standard engagement rhythms with operational leaders.
  • Establish partnering behaviours and field cadence (e.g., % time with the business), coaching BPs and budget owners to drive decisions and value creation.
  • Assess as‑is practice against Financial Management (PD‑003) and Portfolio Management (PD‑024); agree and deliver an improvement plan to standardise processes (e.g., cost coding, reporting, sanction of programmes/projects, business planning, financial controls).
  • Track delivery of benefits and efficiency commitments, linking to programme outcomes and budget performance.
  • Lead the finance delivery readiness and adoption for process/system changes (e.g., Unit4 and reporting tools), including data standards, hierarchies and cost‑code design for consistent reporting.

Essential:

  • Significant senior finance leadership experience in complex, multi‑site or highly regulated environments, demonstrating credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in finance transformation, including implementing new operating models, process standardisation and cultural change across finance teams.
  • Strong experience in Finance Business Partnering, acting as a strategic advisor to operational and functional leaders, providing challenge, insight and value‑adding support.
  • Experience improving planning, forecasting, budgeting and month‑end processes and lifting analytical capability within teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary programmes of change and embed new systems, data structures, cost coding and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience navigating sanction, governance and financial control frameworks, ensuring compliant financial decision‑making.

Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
