On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Project Manager InsideIR35 for a contracting ending March 2027 contract based REMOTELY with occasional travel to Swindon.

As a Project Manager , your main responsibilities will be to:
- Deliver a clear Security Architecture Blueprint defining UKRI’s current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) security state across the group, in line with the Government Cyber Security Strategy (GCSS) guidance.
- Implement an ISO 27001–aligned control framework with supporting tooling to strengthen Asset Lifecycle Management.
- Enhance Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities and expand use of Microsoft Purview features delivered under SF&DR.
- Introduce stronger Conditional Access controls to improve identity and access security across services.
- Establish integrated SIEM and SOAR capabilities to enable proactive threat detection and automated response.
- Stand up a Security Operations Centre (SOC) to provide continuous monitoring and operational cyber defense.
Essential:
- Knowledge of the Government Cyber Security Strategy (GCSS) guidance.
- Experience working within Microsoft security environment.
- Proven ability to engage with and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Experience operating in comprehensive procurement / supplier processes.
Desirable:
- Demonstrate successful track record of complex project delivery, with the ability to manage large, multi-year, high-risk projects across federated organisations with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
