Description & Requirements


On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a PMO Manager Inside IR35  for a 6 months contract based REMOTELY with occasional travel as per business requirements

As a PMO Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust IT governance framework that directly supports and enables the CIO's delegations.
  • Design and establish clear linkages, escalation routes, and exception handling processes between various governance levels (e.g., strategic, tactical, operational).
  • Lead the creation, review, and ongoing refinement of IT governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Governance Committee Establishment & Management:
  • Define the optimal structure, roles, and responsibilities for IT steering committees and governance boards.
  • Draft comprehensive Terms of Reference (ToR) for each committee, outlining their purpose, scope, membership, and decision-making authority.
  • Facilitate and provide expert support to governance boards, steering committees, and key decision-making forums to ensure effective outcomes on IT investments, priorities, and resource allocation


Essential:

  • Experience of COBIT
  • Experience in applying ISO38500
  • Experience of setting key performance indicators and tracking mechanisms
  • Experience of monitoring the effectiveness of government controls


Desirable:

  • Design experience IT
