On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Technical Business Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based Hybrid in Swindon.
The Technical Business Analyst will support the Living on the Web (LotW) project including the Windows 11 upgrade. This role involves gathering and cataloguing business requirements across several internal IT focused workstreams:
- Windows 11 Upgrade
- End User Device Pilot
- Collaboration Software rationalisation
- Operating Model redesign
The aim is to better understand and modernise UKRI’s network management and end user device landscape, with a focus on transformation and cost efficiency.
As a Technical Business Analyst your main responsibilities will be to:
- Understand business and technical requirements, working closely with the business and technical representatives.
- Document the current (“as-is”) state of End User Device and Network Management arrangements within UKRI DDAT.
- Map the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for running EUD and network services.
- Use insights from the “as-is” and TCO analysis to help shape a greenfield approach to EUD.
- Analyse data from multiple sources to define approaches and “to be” solutions with agreement from key stakeholders.
- Present findings clearly using appropriate methods.
- Document requirements, processes and technical solutions to project standards.
- Support organisational change modelling, business readiness and transformation activities.
- Organise meetings, workshops and maintain suitable records.
- Working with technical SMEs in the discovery and development of the “as is and “to be” solutions.
Essential:
- Experience analysing and supporting transformation of End User Device (EUD) environments.
- Extensive experience in IT and organisational transformation.
- Experience documenting “as-is” technical and operational landscapes.
- Experience conducting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for IT services.
- Experience contributing to greenfield design or transformation of EUD environments.
- Process mapping and operating model design.
- Extensive experience in analysis of large data collections from different sources and consolidating into meaningful outputs to drive decisions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement in complex environments.
- Collaborating with internal IT SMEs and external Suppliers to gather and synthesise technical requirements.
- Thought leadership in IT transformation especially cloud-first, EUD and network domains.
