Description & Requirements

On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Mulesoft Developer (Inside IR35) for a 4 Month contract based Remote.


UKRI Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department provides the enterprise technical services that underpin and enable UKRI’s business capabilities. Within DDaT, the Data Portfolio Team are undertaking a number of change projects to enhance UKRI’s data landscape.

Overall Purpose:

The Mulesoft Developer, reporting into the Data Delivery Group, will work with other members of the Salesforce and Mulesoft agile delivery team to implement solutions providing API based integration between UKRI’s core business applications.


As a Mulesoft Developer your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Design and implement integration API services using the Mulesoft IPaaS (Anypoint Platform).
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to agree integration API contracts and service levels.
  • Ensure robust authentication, authorisation and API security practices are implemented.
  • Peer review and test code and solutions within the agile delivery team.
  • Support the Solutions Architect and Product Manager with solution design and documentation of high/low level designs, user stories, API contracts and non-functional requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous integration and improvement of integration solutions as they are released into production.
  • Day to day membership of and engagement, with the agile delivery team.


Essential:

  • Proven experience building integration solutions using Mulesoft in hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Salesforce).
  • Hands-on experience with the Mulesoft Anypoint Platform including configuration and capacity planning.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, API security and industry standard integration patterns.
  • Experience designing and deploying microservices-based integration solutions and working with CI/CD tools and delivery pipelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience working in agile delivery teams.
  • Practical understanding of implementing security and privacy by design.


Desirable:

  • Experience working within the Public Sector.
  • Exposure to Salesforce development.
  • Awareness of ITIL practices.
