Description & Requirements

On behalf of UK Shared Business Services (UKSBS), we are looking for a Payroll Specialist (Inside IR35) for a 2 month contract (likely extension) based Swindon or Newport 1 day per week


We’ are a leading public sector shared service centre owned by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

As a Payroll Specialist, your main responsibilities will be:


  •  Participated in programme meetings and planning sessions to support successful system delivery.
  • Collaborated with UK SBS and client Programme Managers to define payroll  deliverables and milestones.
  • Identified and addressed gaps in business processes, creating new best practice workflows.
  • Coordinated staff involvement in testing while maintaining business-as-usual operations.
  • Provided payroll expertise across programmes, including parallel run execution and process design.
  • Engaged with pension providers and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and communicate progress.


Essential:


  • Proven Payroll experience at managerial level In depth Knowledge of Payroll process and policies
  • Worked in a Volume environment
  • Understanding of change management principles
  • Able to successfully influence a range of stakeholders and employees


Desirable:


  • Oracle Fusion Experience
