AMS PSR

On behalf of the National Crime Agency, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract. This is a hybrid working role (travel required to Stratford on an ad-hoc basis).

Job Purpose:

This role will lead the end-to-end delivery of the website rebuild project, acting as the central point of coordination between internal stakeholders and the external supplier. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget and to scope, managing risks and dependencies throughout the full project lifecycle from conception through to launch.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 

As a Technical Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, including milestones, timelines, dependencies and resource requirements.
• Manage the project budget, tracking expenditure and forecasting costs throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate and chair regular project meetings, producing clear action logs and status updates.
• Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for the external website development supplier.
• Hold the supplier to account against contractual deliverables, quality standards and deadlines.
• Translate technical supplier updates into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), coordinating internal reviewers and consolidating feedback for the supplier.

Essential:

• Proven experience of web project management including managing projects such as website redesigns, Content Management System (CMS) implementations, or new web application launches.
• High level of technical understanding: fundamental knowledge if web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.), CMS platforms (Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.), and web hosting/security principles.
• UX/UI awareness: understanding user journeys, accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design standards
• Ideally the project manager would have experience of Consent Management Platform (CMP) and AI plug-ins
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing demands in a complex environment.
• Experience managing external suppliers or agencies, including holding suppliers to account against contractual obligations.
